Course Objectives This course aims to help students understand the basics of silicon photonics, including the applications, device properties, and fabrication processes. Students will realize the optical functionalities of optical waveguides by numerical simulation.

Textbook “Integrated Photonics” Pollock, C., & Lipson, M. (2003).
